1986-87 saw the release of what has become known as The Get Quick’s “JangleGoth Trilogy.”

The first album, Waltz Into Darkness, perfectly sets the tone, blending the bright chiming guitar of classic power pop with some of the darker psychological undercurrents of post-punk.

Although underappreciated at the time of release, the trilogia has come to be regarded as one of the band’s most crucial artistic statements. Its strange alchemy — almost timeless, yet very much of its time — endearing itself to many listeners over the years.
